Welcome to InfoTrain City
InfoTrain (City) is part of a collaborative project, the Training
Electronic Journal , involving departments of library and information
studies in universities in the UK and Australia. The aim of the project
is to help train LIS students in the technniques and technologies surrounding
the production, maintenance and distribution of electronic texts. With
the rapid spread of technologies such as the World Wide Web into libraries
and publishers, this is becoming an increasingly important topic.
This page is the entry point into the part of the project contributed
by the Department

Note: Each 'volume' has been designed and produced by different groups
of MSc students, and therefore each has a different format. At present
thee is no cumulative index or search engine, although it is hoped to provide
one in the future.

Courseware
One result of the collaboration on this project is the production of a
courseware package, for use by other LIS schools or organisations or individuals.
